Setbacks Are Only Temporary

The pit of self pity causes you to look at your dilemma and not what God is doing in the middle of your circumstances.

Setbacks are only temporary. He is your deliverance from whatever is placed before you by the Adversary. Be thankful for what He has brought you through. Give thanks for His upcoming blessings.

"Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care."(Ps.95:6-7) ~Ron…

No Graves On That Bright Shore

"A time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out."(John 5:28-29)

Then weep not friends, we're going home
Up there we'll die no more
No coffins will be made up there
No graves on that bright shore

Suffering...

Suffering is part of the human condition, and it comes to us all. The key is how we react to it, either turning away from God in anger and bitterness or growing closer to Him in trust and confidence.

(Psalm 119:50)"My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life."
(1 Peter 4:19) "So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good."
(Billy Graham)

Cheer up, Christians!

Cheer up, Christians! ..."There's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven! We're waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He'll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him."(Phil.3:20-21) Hallelujah!!!

God's Hands

We are like Noah's dove, weary and about to drop into the surrounding waters. But Noah puts out his hand, takes her, and draws her back into the ark (Gen.8:9). The dove found a refuge that surrounded and upheld her. The hands covered her on all sides.
The hand of God sustains those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, " He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust."(Ps.91:1-2) (Charles H. Spurgeon

Don't Be Discouraged

Discouragement can easily bring about defeat. Determination in HIS name replaces the discouragement the enemy tries to bury you under.

The more he heaps, the more you become helpless when you don't fully exercise the faith that is deeply embedded in you. It was given to you for such a time as this.

Let your faith rise above the doubts and discouragement. Let it soar to the forefront of your mind and your thinking. Faith pleases God. It brings a smile to His face and it lifts His… Continue

God And Your Best Interest

God makes delays and detours in your day without you knowing it is Him. He has a reason for all that He does because it is in your best interest.

He knows all things and you must learn to trust Him in all things, even if it looks like He is not involved. You are special to Him and it's during these times when you can learn more about Him and His ways.

One day you will better understand, but until then, He can make this situation work for the best.

"Commit your way to the LORD.… Continue

Be Still...

“Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” (Ps.37:7)

He Heals The Brokenhearted

"The Lord is close to those whose hearts are breaking; he rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles---he has them too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one." (Ps.34:18:19)

God's Way...

We must guard against attempts at forcing God to act as we think He should. If He does something that won’t fit into the box we’ve designed for Him, we easily become upset, angry, or confused. The Lord will never stay within the parameters we set for Him. Since we are mortal, earth-bound, and sinful, we have a very narrow perspective and understanding of life. But our eternal, sinless, sovereign, and omniscient Creator sees and knows what we cannot perceive. Scripture tells us of the Lord’s… Continue

God Can Turn Night Into Day

It is not difficult for the Lord to turn night into day. He who sends the clouds can just as easily clear the skies. Let us be encouraged --- things are better down the road. Let us sing God's praises in anticipation of things to come. "Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all."(2 Cor.4:17) Trials do serve their purpose. (Charles H. Surgeon)

Have Faith In God

Doubts can send you into a storm or cause you to encounter desert dry land. You see no means of being rescued by God because of the silent doubts you have about His actual existence.

The only thing you may have to go on is His word in His Word. He has spoken through the ages and chooses when, where, and how He speaks today.

For a moment it may be a matter of survival. He will never abandon you. Because you are His child, He only asks for simple faith. That's what gets you to heaven… Continue

In God's Hands

When you trust in God, you have sweet rest in danger or pain. Oh, to be in God's hands. What a place---in the hands of God! If we are in God's hands, we are where all things rest; we are home and we are happy. We have left the creature's nothingness and entered into the Creator's all-sufficiency. Beloved friend, get there. Hurry to get there, and from this moment live in God's hands.

"For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you. Do not fear; I will help… Continue

God Will Never Abandon Us

"I will never leave you or abandon you." (Heb.13:5)

Abandoned is a thought that only comes from the enemy. At times, God will be silent, but He will never abandon you. You sense His presence on the mountaintop, but He is also with you in the valleys of life. That is where you can learn more about Him and His ways.

Remain faithful when things fall apart around you. He is aware of those times and events also. You will one day look back and see those not only as growing times, but also… Continue

Major On God

Lord God, train us to walk on your path. Teach us to see you in situations that are dangerous and difficult. When we are surrounded by overwhelming challenges may our thoughts and words turn first to you. Rather than discuss the problem, remind us to discuss you. May our first thought in the morning and our last thought at night be centered on you. Rather than worry about the impossibilities, let us major in your mighty power. When we am tempted to look at the giants in our lives, we will… Continue

See What He Will Do

“Now you are going to see what I will do…” Exodus 6:1
Behind each of God’s promises is a plan. He may not have given you the whole plan, only the promise. But God will work His plan to finalize the promise. At some point in the future you will see what God will do, even if it now seems like He’s not keeping His promise. (Ron Wallace)

God Is Our Source

The Bible teaches that God is the source of your finances. He is the one who provides for your needs. He is your source, not your job. He is your source, not your bank account. Worry reveals the places where you are not trusting God. Ask God to help you understand what causes you to not trust Him, and ask Him to teach you to start trusting Him. Look for how He does that. In addition, when you start to worry, talk to God about your concerns. "...He is the one who gives you the ability to produce… Continue

The Blood of Jesus

The blood of Christ does not cover your sins, conceal your sins, postpone your sins, or diminish your sins. It takes away your sins, once and for all time. Jesus allows your mistakes to be lost in His perfection. "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." (Eph. 1:7). Max Lucado

The Future

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. Jer. 29:11. In God's mind, the future is already known. But in His mercy, He chooses not to reveal things yet to come. The rest of your future is in the mind of God, so put your mind to rest. You don't need to know the future. You only need to know Him. The future will take care of itself because God will take care of the future. Ron Wallace (from his book Encouraging Words in a Discouraging World)
