WELCOME 2017! HAPPY NEW YEAR

My sincere prayer for everyone who reads this. Happy New Year!

Press On...

Because I belong to One whose resurrection guarantees that I will arrive safely home in a new body and be part of a new creation, I miraculously, amazingly, find myself continuing to move forward, until Jesus picks me up and takes me home. "I press toward the goal to win the prize..." (Phil. 3:14) (Michael Spencer)

You Will Pass Through

"When you pass through the waters...they will not sweep over you." (Isa.43:2) You may be going through a terrible storm in your life and feel as if you're going under. But God has already determined that you will not be swept away. For He has promised that "You will pass through."

Longing For Home

There's a place inside each one of us that longs for more.

We try to give it a name...

If I was just married

If I could just have a child

If I could lose weight

If I could get that job.....

I'm learning that this longing will never be filled by anything on this earth... it's a longing for another Kingdom.

I'm also learning not to despise it.

It's a sacred ache

It's a holy place

It tells us, we're not home yet.

Never Alone

When you experience difficulty, you have a choice. One option is to hide in a dark place away from the world, or you can face the adversity head on, knowing that you are not alone. (Karen Whiting)
"...Because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
(Heb.13:5)

Go To God

Where could I go Oh where could I go
Seeking a refuge for my soul
Needing a friend to help me in the end
Where could I go but to the Lord

"I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me. When I was in distress, I sought the Lord." (Psalm 77:1-2)

The Joy Of The Lord Is Your Strength

"Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!”

Tears Are A Language

Tears are a language God understands...
"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."(Ps.56:8)

Shelter and Rest

Father, my prayer is that all who read this post will find shelter and rest in You.
"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust’" (Psalm 91:1-2)

Walk By Faith

Many Christians assume that silence from Heaven means something has gone wrong, that the inability to “feel” God’s Spirit means God has turned His face away. But this is not what God’s Word tells us. His apparent silence is, in fact, an important part of how He works in our lives and grows us up into the men and women of faith He wants us to be. (J.D. Greear)
"For we walk by faith, and not by sight."(2 Cor.5:7)

Groans That Words Cannot Express

"Groans that words cannot express are often prayers that God cannot refuse. " "...The Holy Spirit helps us with our daily problems and in our praying. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how to pray as we should; but the Holy Spirit prays for us with such feeling that it cannot be expressed in words." (Rom.8:26) (Charles H. Spurgeon)

Jesus Saves! Jesus Saves!

Sing above the battle strife: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
By His death and endless life Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
Shout it brightly through the gloom, when the heart for mercy craves;
Sing in triumph o’er the tomb: Jesus saves! Jesus saves!
"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners..."(1 Tim.1:15)

Travel Light

There are weights in life you simply cannot carry. Set them down and trust Him. I can’t overstate God’s promise in 1 Peter 5:7: “Unload all your worries onto Him, since He is looking after you.”
What do you say we take God up on His offer? We might find ourselves traveling a little lighter.

He'll Do It Again

"Be strong and brave, all of you who are waiting for the Lord’s help." (Ps.31:24)

Though you may not know how
And you may not know when,
But He'll do It again.

Because He Lives

"I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever!" (Rev.1:18)

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives! (Bill Gaither)

A Time To Mourn

Solomon said, “There is a time to mourn!” Give yourself some. Face your grief with tears, time, and one more—face your grief with truth. God has the last word on death. And if you listen, He will tell you the truth about your loved ones. They’ve been dismissed from the hospital called Earth. You and I still roam the halls, smell the medicines. They meanwhile, inhale springtime.

You miss them like crazy, but can you deny the truth? They have no pain, doubt, or struggle. They really… Continue

2014 Coming Up!

As we go into 2014, "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."(Heb.10:23-24)

Learn To Be Content

May we learn to be content in any state, for this is the best foundation for true happiness.
Paul said, "I have learned how to get along happily whether I have much or little."(Phil.4:11)

Radical Gratitude

“Sink your roots in him and build on him. Be strengthened by the faith that you were taught, and overflow with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:7 GW)

An attitude of radical gratitude is God’s will for you because it develops your faith.

How does gratitude develop my faith? It happens when times are tough — when things don’t make sense, when you can’t figure it out, when your prayers are unanswered, when everything is going the way you didn’t want it to go. It happens when you can say in… Continue
