Hello! I met Lois Jane at Binghamtown Baptist Church in Middlesboro, Kentucky. It must have been around 1990. She sang "Hold To God's Unchanging Hand," and I was sitting next to my late father, Austin Mason, who had sung that song in church when he was young. That was a special moment, and I have been a fan of hers ever since. I worked as office manager at Binghamtown for almost ten years, and enjoyed her many visits to that church.
I am now living in Richmond, Virginia, helping to care for an elderly Aunt. My parents left Richmond when I was 4 years old, and I have returned 58 years later! We have always had family here. I love the history and charm of Richmond. Driving up Monument Avenue recently, I ran into Stonewall Jackson on a horse of course! I looked up and asked him, "Is the Civil War over? Who won?" HA!
I am a member of Monument Heights Baptist Church on that very street, just a few miles from Stonewall's statue.
Lois Jane continues to be a blessing in my life. We have encouraged each other over the years, and I am excited about this new web site!
