The Right Kind of Help

I read this devotional today from Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost for the Highest". I found it to be very inspirational but wondered what you might think about it's content. So many today really want to preach Christianity Light and ignore the proper treatment of what we call the "Wrath of God"...and too many want to ignore the Cross and what it means altogether. In the late 1700's a great Puritan Preacher named Jonathan Edwards said this in a message he delivered entitled…

Use the Character gained on the Mountaintop down in the Valley.

We are inclined to think that everything that happens is to be turned into useful teaching. In actual fact, it is to be turned into something even better than teaching, namely, character. The mountaintop is not meant to teach us anything, it is meant to make us something. There is a terrible trap in always asking, “What’s the use of this experience?” We can never measure spiritual matters in that way. The moments on the mountaintop are rare moments, and they are meant for something in God’s… Continue

Tribute to my Granddaddy Jessis

Yesterday we laid a true "Southern Gentleman" to rest...my grandfather Mr. Jessie Radford. In Psalms we are promised 3 score and 10 years (70) and if we

are strong in God 4 score and 10 years (90). Well folks...Mr. Jessie

Radford must have been really strong in the Lord cause he lived 4 score

and 18 years (98). And he lived them in such a way I never heard a bad

word said about him by anyone. We loved you so much Granddaddy and will…

Prayer Chain

We all know the Word of God...but how many of us know intimately the GOD OF THE WORD? Now that is a

catchy phrase but there is a great amount of truth in it.…

God's FREE GIFT...

Gloria Gaither said... “Right from the beginning God’s love has reached out for us, and from the beginning man has refused to understand. But love went on reaching, offering itself. And still today, after two thousand years, patiently, lovingly, Christ is reaching out to us today. He is reaching, longing to share with us...the very being of God. His love still is longing ... His love still is reaching ... right past the shackles of my mind. And the Word of the Father became Mary’s little Son.… Continue

In my weakness...

When we face a problem we have two choices: focus on the problem or fix our eyes on God. If we opt for the first, the problem seems to grow bigger. If we look to God, we will see God's presence and goodness -- and this opens doors to discover a solution. Despair and disappointment can become opportunities to move closer to God and feel God's power. (Shaji George (Kerala, India)

The Lord told Paul... "My Grace is sufficient...I work best in your weakness. One of my favorite thoughts… Continue

JOHN 1:4-5... (4) In Him was life; and the life was the Light of man. (5) And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The Night is the Absence of All Light. The Day is the Presence of All Light when God is Present. The Darkness is not merely 'illuminated' but the Darkness 'Shines' Where God is, Light is produced enough to chase away darkness as far as the eye can see, and far beyond man's concepts or horizons. May we not let our minds..., or our feelings limit the measure of God's working, revelation, or Life! (Leonard Ravenhill)

And we are now God's light here on earth. A day should never go by… Continue

For God so loved the world HE GAVE...

In Luke's account of Jesus' birth, we read about an angel who announced, "Do not be afraid." I, like the shepherds, would certainly need this reassurance. "I am here with good news," the angel continued. Not only is this good news, it's the best news ever. My Savior was born! Even if I were the only person on the face ...of the earth, God loved me enough to give me my own Savior. (The Upper Room) And with that began the greatest story ever told. Our Lord was born in a manger in Bethlehem, lived… Continue

The world needs a Holy Revival

Acts 1:8 says... "“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

“TODAY...we need a revival of Holy living. Why do we have to hang a sign outside of our church that we are Fundamental and Biblical? Because without a sign, no one could identify us! When I passed through a town that a few days before had been torn apart by a tornado, I assure you, I had not to be told… Continue

“O Little Town Of Bethlehem." Micah 5:1-5

INTRODUCTION...This Christmas we will look at 3 great Christmas Carols for our CHRISTmas messages.

I have given you a copy of "O Little Town Of Bethlehem"...our message will center around it and MICAH 5:1-5.
